I too would be surprised if 15 made it; maybe more in the range of 5-10.

Though I must say it was disappointing when I got an email from the ONC around 2:00 this afternoon with today's big news: why did I read about it everywhere else (including the HHS press release) before them? Surely the tech part of HHS should be the first to get the news out.

HHS Approves Certification Bodies - Steve

Thanks for the link back to yesterday's guest post. This space is going to get extremely interesting in a next few weeks. ONC claims a 30 day period to review an application so there should be plenty of announcements over the course of the next month.

I do wonder what the final number of approved certification bodies will be. If I had to guess I would guess somewhere south of 15.

USBs, Smart Phones, and Other Electronic Devices - Michelle R. This is an issue that I think is going to be more and more important to discuss as business moves toward a mobile web model. PCC's customers are pediatric offices and we have been concerned about this issue as well. I have been researching the ARRA incentives with Pediatricians in mind (resources for pediatricians are available at www.pedsource.com/ehrmoney). One way I have been tracking the intent of the states is to monitor press release page on the CMS website. To date, most states have been approved for the matching funds for this program.

The only states that have not been approved for the funding are: Ohio, Massachusetts, North Dakota, and South Dakota

Feel free to double check me and correct if you spot the release for any of the above states.
